Honda de México commemorated 40 years of operations in the country with a series of events at its El Salto, Jalisco plant, including the company’s first-ever Open House for clients and distributors. The celebration also featured the launch of the new Honda ADV350 motorcycle.

Honda’s presence in Mexico began in 1985 with the establishment of its first plant in El Salto, focused on motorcycle production. The company later expanded with the Celaya, Guanajuato plant, inaugurated in 2014, dedicated to automobile and transmission manufacturing. Together, the two facilities employ over 6,600 people and produce vehicles for both domestic and international markets, including exports to the United States and Canada.

During the Open House, more than 200 motorcycles from distributors were showcased, offering attendees an up-close view of Honda’s production processes. “Today, for the first time, we opened our plant doors to clients in Mexico. We want them to see how each Honda unit is built, meet the Mexican hands behind our products, and understand how we maintain the quality that distinguishes us worldwide. Our history in Mexico reflects the dedication of our associates and the loyalty of our customers. We look forward to continuing innovation and contributing to the country’s growth,” said Yuichi Murata, President, Honda de México.

As part of the 40th-anniversary activities, Honda organized a ‘Café con Honda’ event to engage directly with clients and distributors, discuss road safety, and strengthen the community of Honda enthusiasts.
