CHRISTUS MUGUERZA Hospital Sur Supports Women's Health
CHRISTUS MUGUERZA Hospital Sur has introduced an innovative healthcare program called Feme Elle, designed to provide comprehensive, personalized care for women at every stage of life. The program aims to support and care for patients from birth through old age, focusing on both physical and emotional health.
“The main goal of the project is to support women in prevention, treatment of diseases, and education. There is much we can do to help them feel better,” said Luis Valverde, Medical Director, CHRISTUS MUGUERZA Hospital Sur.
Feme Elle brings together a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including experts in gynecology, pediatrics, cardiology, endocrinology, and mental health. The program’s objective is to prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases in a timely manner, tailored to the individual needs of each woman. It leverages cutting-edge technology to enable early detection of health conditions, while also reducing long-term risks, all within a humanistic environment that fosters trust and empathy.
“Women require different specialties and treatments, including emotional and psychological support, to achieve overall health. We have assembled a group of specialists within the hospital to address these needs. Feme Elle will assist us in caring for women from birth through adulthood,” said Sandra Ceniceros, Director, CHRISTUS MUGUERZA Hospital Sur.
The program spans all stages of a woman’s life. In childhood and adolescence, it provides education and treatment for physical development, menstrual health, and general well-being. During the reproductive years, Feme Elle offers support for family planning, fertility, and pre and postnatal care. For women in perimenopause and menopause, the program offers medical assistance to manage hormonal changes, associated symptoms, and the prevention of common diseases.
In addition to medical care, Feme Elle focuses on health education, providing tools that empower patients to make informed, responsible decisions about their well-being. “The sooner we start talking about women’s health, the sooner women begin to visit the gynecologist and normalize checking their health. It is the only way we can start discussing sexual and reproductive health from an early age,” said Giovanna Abramo, Co-Founder, Plenna, to MBN.
