Q: How is TecSalud advancing its goals regarding well-being, prevention, and longevity, and what measurable outcomes have you observed?
A: We have made considerable advances in these goals. For example, we built a whole initiative Health4life that is dedicated to preventive medicine within the Zambrano Hellion Hospital facilities, where we conduct over 8,000 checkups annually for various segments of the population. We offer preventive medicine services for those with individual and company insurance policies. We also continue to promote education in preventive medicine and remain deeply committed to well-being, prevention, and longevity. We aim to be recognized as the most important academic center in Mexico and Latin America. In collaboration with our medical school, our goal is to ensure strong professional development through academia and research. TecSalud’s hospitals follow best practices and actively pursuing new certifications to continuously elevate the standard of care we provide. These certifications will allow us to ensure that our hospitals meet the highest international benchmarks, reinforcing our commitment to excellence in healthcare.

Q: How does TecSalud help its healthcare professionals remain equipped to consistently
deliver top-tier care?

A: We consistently exchange best practices with other hospitals, such as the Houston Methodist
Hospital in Texas. We provide continuous training for healthcare professionals through congresses and symposiums, supporting the development of specialists in each field. We recently received the American Heart Association’s Gold Standard Confidence for cardiology. We were also certified as an advanced stroke center for the treatment of neurological conditions in emergency care. We continuously compare our standards with international benchmarks to remain at the forefront of medical practices.

Q: What role do digital platforms play in managing medical information and supporting
clinical decision-making at TecSalud’s hospitals?

A: We are migrating our electronic medical records to a new platform and integrating it with
existing systems to enable real-time access to patient information. This system has to be easily accessible and secure, while also allowing for data mining to support our research and academic initiatives. This will enhance the patient experience by making their medical information more accessible, allowing for quicker and more accurate diagnoses. It will streamline decision-making for physicians with real-time data, leading to better treatment options. Additionally, it will improve operational efficiency through advanced analytics and reduced administrative tasks, ultimately resulting in better outcomes.

Q: How will the role of TecSalud hospitals evolve alongside Mexico’s healthcare needs?
A: We aim to be a benchmark and take a leading role, as we are one of the few institutions that
foster collaborative medical practices where specialists discuss cases. We also implement peer
review practices to find the best solutions for various cases. Not all hospitals have these protocols, and we seek to become a key reference both medically and administratively, especially with insurance providers. We strive to transform how insurers interact with hospitals by presenting clinical outcomes that disrupt the current cycle, supporting the transition to a more value-driven approach in the private healthcare system.

Q: What initiatives is TecSalud developing to improve healthcare and access to services in the state?
A: TecSalud has a foundation that serves multiple patients in municipalities across Nuevo
Leóon, increasing access to healthcare. We also aim to contribute new research protocols and
explore new ways to improve medicine. Our oriGen project, a genetic data repository that aims
to capture the information of 100,000 volunteers, aims to create genomic maps and develop personalized medicine for disease treatment, which will be a key driver of transformation in the Mexican healthcare system. At Tec de Monterrey we also recently partnered with the Ragon Institute of Mass General, MIT, and Harvard to strengthen its research capabilities to accelerate solutions to Mexico's major health challenges.

Q: What are TecSalud’s key strategic goals for the next five years, and how do you plan to
achieve them?
A: At TecSalud, our strategic goals for the next five years focus on strengthening
collaboration with our medical school and enhancing medical practices across our hospitals. We
aim to transform processes and standards to consistently align with the latest international
advances. Our priorities include establishing ourselves as an Academic Medical Center with a
model of excellence in care, promoting excellence in training talent within Health Sciences,
driving applied healthcare research, and contributing to the transformation of Mexico's
healthcare system. These efforts are designed to ensure sustainable impact and innovation in
the field of health.

TecSalud is the only private medical academic center in México that incorporates innovative clinical, academic and research services and integrates the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, TecSalud Foundation, San José and Zambrano Hellion Hospitals, health institutes, and other institutions.
