YouTube Health and Centro Médico ABC report remarkable success in their initiative to provide reliable health information to the general public. This partnership, which initially launched a year ago, has made significant strides in reaching and educating audiences both in Mexico and beyond.

“In a world where access to accurate information is more important than ever, we are proud to be part of this initiative that aims to educate, inform, and protect our communities,” says Centro Médico ABC.

Since the inception of this alliance, Centro Médico ABC has used its YouTube channel to disseminate verified and quality health content. This initiative was designed to empower individuals with the knowledge needed to make informed health decisions, as reported by Centro Médico ABC. By providing clear and accessible explanations of diseases, symptoms, and treatments, the initiative aimed to bridge the gap between medical professionals and the public.

As of now, the content produced under this partnership has seen a dramatic increase in viewership, with organic views doubling from about 1 million to 2 million, according to Isaac Ochoa, Strategic Partner Manager, YouTube Health. There has been a 13% increase in viewers from Spanish-speaking countries outside of Mexico. This growth underscores the effectiveness of the collaboration in reaching a broader audience and highlights the role of YouTube as a platform for health education.

“We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to Google Mexico for the incredible collaboration through YouTube Health. This partnership has been essential in creating spaces where we can reach more people with reliable and valuable health information,” says Centro Médico ABC.

YouTube Health enables users to search for specific health conditions and receive a display of content from recognized organizations, such as the National Academy of Medicine and the World Health Organization (WHO), as reported by MBN.

The platform has also prioritized mental health by focusing on tackling eating disorders and restricting content that promotes such behavior. Instead, the platform offers crisis support and resources in videos discussing eating disorders.
