ARTF Launches Tenders for 774km Passenger Railroads

The Regulatory Agency for Railway Transport (ARTF) announced public tenders for constructing the new passenger rail routes Queretaro–Irapuato and Saltillo–Nuevo Laredo. The government said these routes would add 774km to the national passenger rail network. In other news, Jalisco received an US$86.6 million investment from Arca Continental and Proximity Parks. Both companies launched projects to enhance the state’s supply chains in the food and beverage and e-commerce industries, respectively.

ARTF to Launch Passenger Rail Tenders Starting July

Public tenders for the new passenger rail routes Queretaro–Irapuato and Saltillo–Nuevo Laredo will be launched in the coming days, with construction scheduled to begin in July 2025, announced Andrés Lajous, Head, ARTF. These projects are part of the Mexican government’s plan to develop over 3,000km of passenger rail lines.
