Casa Bastión Earns PROFEPA’s Environmental Distinction

Casa Bastión, a real estate services and investment firm under Grupo Libera, has become the first company in its sector to receive Mexico’s Environmental Quality Distinction (DCAM) for fulfilling its environmental obligations. 

The recognition, awarded by José Alberto González, Director, PROFEPA office in Yucatan, highlights the real estate sector’s role in environmental stewardship. Real estate developers are encouraged to use recyclable materials and environmentally-friendly technologies, such as solar panels and thermal glass, to reduce the use of air conditioning or heating.

The DCAM is a voluntary program designed by PROFEPA to help micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MiPyMes) comply with environmental regulations while boosting productivity.
