Edgewell Invests US$110 Million in Aguascalientes
Edgewell will invest US$110 million in Aguascalientes to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The project is set to generate over 1,300 direct jobs in the region, solidifying the state’s reputation as a key player in the economic partnership between Mexico and the United States.
“Through hard work, talent, and capability, Aguascalientes plays a fundamental role in the success of bilateral relations between Mexico and the United States, especially in economic matters. This strong relationship of friendship and collaboration between our state and the United States ensures growth and prosperity for Edgewell’s project here. The economic impact will be significant, and it will greatly contribute to the development of our state and improve the quality of life for the people of Aguascalientes,” states Governor of Aguascalientes, Teresa Jiménez.
Carlos Texidor, Global Vice President of Operations, Edgewell, says that the new plant will begin operations in 2025 in the FINSA Industrial Park, located in the southern part of the city. He adds that Edgewell, which has a presence in over 50 countries, specializes in the production of skincare products, personal hygiene items, shaving products, and feminine care items.
“We did not arrive here by accident; we explored more than 30 locations across Mexico to ensure we selected the right one, and Aguascalientes was the clear choice,” says Rod Little, CEO, Edgewell. He highlights that the decision to establish the plant in Aguascalientes was based on several factors, including the availability of highly skilled personnel, public safety, quality education, strategic location, and, most importantly, the strong support from state authorities.
“It is a great pleasure for us to host Edgewell and be part of its global growth, particularly in Latin America, with the manufacturing and distribution of products that will proudly be made in our state. Rest assured, we will support you every step of the way,” says Esaú Garza, Minister of Economic Development, Science, and Technology.
