First Majestic Silver confirms two major gold-silver discoveries at its Santa Elena property in Sonora: Santo Niño and Navidad. Further drilling is planned for 2025 to continue exploring the Santo Niño vein and expanding Navidad’s mineral envelope.

Santo Niño, a newly identified vein about 900m south of the Santa Elena processing plant, is a high-grade epithermal gold-silver structure traced for over 1km along strike and 400m down-dip. The mineralized zone — similar in geology to the nearby Ermitaño deposit — shows expansion potential in multiple directions. Early drilling results, including standout assays like 1.91m grading 8.38g/t gold and 248g/t silver, confirm the presence of high-value mineralization.

Navidad, part of the broader Winter vein system, continues to deliver high-grade intercepts and expand its footprint, especially to the east. New drilling results returned grades significantly above those reported in the maiden resource estimate. One hole intersected 6.81m at 14.77g/t gold and 642g/t silver. These results validate and enhance the continuity and grade of the deposit.

Together with Santa Elena and Ermitaño, these discoveries bring the total number of major deposits on the property to four. The company sees this as a pivotal development in confirming Santa Elena as a prolific, district-scale project with strong upside and the potential to extend mine life.

“The past twelve months of our exploration activities at Santa Elena have been outstanding,” says Keith Neumeyer, President and CEO, First Majestic. “The Santo Niño discovery marks yet another exciting milestone for the district, and the drilling shows the vein remains open for expansion in most directions. At the same time, step-out drilling at the Navidad Discovery continues to intercept exceptionally high-grade mineralization and expand the resource envelope. Together with the producing Santa Elena and Ermitaño mines, these new deposits confirm Santa Elena as a truly prolific district with tremendous untapped potential.”
