Pinnacle Strengthens Mexican Management Team
Pinnacle Silver and Gold has announced the appointment of Carlos Castro Villalobos as Project Manager for the high-grade El Potrero gold-silver project in Durango, Mexico. Castro brings extensive experience as a Mining Engineer, having developed and operated mines for several companies across Mexico.
Tocvan Advances Drilling, Trenching, and Pilot Mine Preparation at Gran Pilar Gold-Silver Project
Tocvan Ventures has announced that equipment has been mobilized to both the North and South Blocks of its flagship Gran Pilar Gold-Silver Project in Sonora, Mexico. This advances site preparations for upcoming drilling and trenching activities, as well as ground work for the planned pilot mining operation. The first drill rig is also scheduled to move to the North Alteration Zone, enabling the company to accelerate its exploration and development programs.
Mithril Achieves 10.9 g/t AuEq Over 8.03 m
Mithril Silver and Gold Limited has reported exploration results and updates from multiple targets at its district-scale Copalquin property in Durango, Mexico. Recent drilling in the Target 1 area, which hosts the current Copalquin resource, has successfully extended strike continuity by 300m, highlighting strong potential for further growth. Notable intercepts include 7.20m averaging 2.78g/t gold and 148g/t silver from 260.9m, 2.80m at 3.97g/t gold and 208g/t silver from 272.35m, and 8.03m at 7.19g/t gold and 260g/t silver from 257.72m.
Silver Storm Commences Rehabilitation Activities at La Parrilla
Silver Storm Mining has announced that rehabilitation work has started at its 100%-owned La Parrilla Silver Mine Complex in Durango, Mexico. The company has engaged Dynamic Engineering to carry out the processing plant rehabilitation, with the contractor already mobilized and the project expected to be completed within seven to nine months.
Canada Eases Tariffs on US, Chinese Steel
Canada has introduced tariff relief on select steel and aluminum imports from the United States and China to support domestic industries affected by trade tensions with both countries. Prime Minister Mark Carney is currently in talks with Donald Trump, who imposed tariffs on Canadian metals, while Canadian officials also met with their Chinese counterparts last week seeking similar relief for agricultural exports.
