Radius Gold Ends Exploration Deal With Fresnillo Subsidiary
Canada-based Radius Gold released the final drill results for its Plata Verde silver project in Chihuahua, reporting no significant silver deposits to support the project’s viability. As a result, the company’s partnership with Fresnillo’s subsidiary has been dissolved.
The drilling program, funded by Fresnillo’s Minera San Julian, included 13 diamond core holes totaling 2,400m. While the drilling intersected zones of low-grade silver mineralization, no significant silver deposits were found. As a result, Minera San Julian has opted to withdraw from the partnership, and Radius Gold will return the property to its original owners.
Previously, Radius Gold reported initial results from its exploration program at the Plata Verde silver project in Chihuahua. The eastern areas showed low-grade silver mineralization, while more promising visual mineralization was observed in the western part of the project.
