US President Donald Trump confirmed that imports of 1kg and 100oz gold bars will remain tariff-free. His statement comes after US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) declared that gold bars would be subject to country-based tariffs, including a 39% duty on Swiss goods. In other news, the expansion of AI data centers is expected to deepen the copper deficit to 6Mt by 2035, reports BloombergNEF (BNEF).
