Meanwhile, in a bid to bolster international trade and foster ties between Mexico and Portugal, both countries presented a potential economic corridor linking the ports of Coatzacoalcos in Veracruz and Sines in Portugal.

AMOTAC, Authorities Fight Cargo Theft in the State of Mexico
As the State of Mexico keeps being affected by cargo theft, some worried that AMOTAC members would go on strike to demand better security measures on highways. To prevent a strike, authorities and AMOTAC gathered at working tables to discuss measures to combat cargo theft, prevent extortions, and enhance highway security.
Mexico, Portugal Present Coatzacoalcos-Sines Economic Corridor
To continue strengthening the bilateral relationship between Mexico and Portugal, both countries presented an initiative to establish a maritime corridor connecting the ports of Coatzacoalcos in Veracruz and Sines in Portugal. The corridor is set to link with the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, enhancing logistics and trade.
CCE Warns that SENER's Decree Could Disrupt Production Chains
SENER’s decree to fight the illegal fuel market, particularly the smuggling and adulteration of oil products, is causing disruptions in production chains, says CCE. The decree introduces temporary non-tariff measures and restrictions on the import of certain oil products. The council argues that these measures could impact existing investments, leading to market destabilization and dissuading global companies from investing in Mexico.
Nuevo Leon Bets on Electromobility With Line 5, TransMetro
Nuevo Leon is making significant investments in electromobility. Governor Samuel García reported on the advances of two major electromobility projects in the state: Line 5 of Metrorrey and the first TransMetro. He adds that the region has attracted substantial foreign direct investment, totaling US$42 billion, reinforcing Nuevo Leon’s position as an investment hub.
Authorities Confirm Mayan Train's Section 1 Will Transport Cargo
Section 1 of the Mayan Train will have a cargo exchange yard in Palenque, Chiapas, says Óscar Lozano, Director General, Mayan Train, This facility will facilitate the transfer of goods from the ports of Salina Cruz in Oaxaca and Coatzacoalcos in Veracruz to the Yucatan Peninsula.
