Veikul Raises US$3 Million Seed Round to Expand Across Mexico
Veikul, a Mexican startup that focuses on mobility and logistics services, has successfully secured a US$3 million seed round. The funding, structured through a blend of equity and debt, is set to bolster the company’s technological capabilities and support its expansion into new regions across Mexico.
“This financing marks a significant milestone for Veikul, providing us with the resources needed to expand and strengthen our team. We are committed to continuing our innovation and improving our services to meet the changing needs of the market,” says Sebastián Peña, CEO and Co-Founder, Veikul.
The round attracted many investors, including private equity firm First Check Ventures and angel investor Armando Véjar, Director, Grupo Autofin Monterrey, positioning Veikul for accelerated growth and a stronger market presence, reports El Financiero.
Veikul operates a marketplace that connects independent workers, such as drivers and couriers, with digital platforms seeking reliable delivery services. With the newly secured funds, Veikul plans to accelerate the development of its technology and expand its operations in Mexico, focusing primarily on Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey.
“This funding represents a major step toward realizing our vision: transforming delivery logistics through technology. We are focused on improving process efficiency and reducing reliance on manual and field operations, enabling rapid and effective scalability,” says Fernando Medina, Co-Founder, Veikul.
Veikul has established strategic partnerships with major platforms such as Mercado Libre, Envía Flores, Moova, Cubbo, Melonn, Didi, and Uber. Since its founding in 2022, the startup has completed over 300,000 delivery tasks and has 120 active independent drivers, with over 800 registered on its platform.
