Deepwater: Who, Where and When?

Deepwater exploration in Mexico experienced a surge in interest and success in 2020. While the rest of the industry was adapting to a historically difficult year, operators exploring the deepwater basins of the Mexican GOM were seeing rates of exploration discovery that dwarfed the global average. This has reignited the hopes of making deepwater assets an important part of Mexico’s production portfolio sooner than expected.
