ExxonMobil Grants Scholarships to UNAM Students
ExxonMobil México awarded scholarships to six students from UNAM as part of its commitment to fostering research and professional development in the energy sector. Through its ExxonMobil Research Scholarships (BEI) program, the company commits to supporting professionals in STEM fields and promoting Mexican talent in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
In its thirteenth edition in 2024, the program recognizes six UNAM students for their academic excellence in STEM disciplines. Students will receive funding for their research projects and will participate in a mentoring and professional development program.
Carla García Franco, Director of Public and Government Affairs, ExxonMobil Mexico, highlighted the company's dedication to nurturing talent in STEM fields during the scholarship award ceremony. She emphasized the significance of this initiative for students' professional growth, particularly in the energy sector.
This year's scholarship recipients come from various STEM backgrounds, including Geomatics Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mathematics, Civil Engineering, and Earth Sciences.
Bill Eisner, President and CEO, ExxonMobil Mexico, underscored Mexico's potential to lead in supply chain relocation during the event. He emphasized the importance of talent development in critical areas to seize this opportunity effectively.
