Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo has announced three additional cabinet members: Claudia Curiel de Icaza as Minister of Culture, Josefina Rodríguez as Minister of Tourism, and Marath Baruch Bolaños as Minister of Labor and Social Welfare. The Ministers of Navy and National Defense are the only positions yet to be filled, with their appointments to be announced in September.

Claudia Curiel - Minister of Culture

Curiel holds a degree in History from UNAM and has specialized in Arts Education through the international Global Leaders Program (GLP), offered by universities such as McGill, NVU, and Harvard. With over 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, she has collaborated with the Philharmonic Orchestra and helped develop the Law of Independent Cultural Spaces and the Law of Memory. Currently, she serves as the head of the Ministry of Culture for the Government of Mexico City.

"I am convinced that culture is the language of identities. It allows us to understand who we are, where we are, what our time is, and what we want to build. No answer to this would be possible without knowing how we got here," she said following her appointment.

Josefina Rodríguez - Minister of Tourism

Rodríguez holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla and a Master's degree in Senior Management from Universidad del Valle de Tlaxcala. With experience in both the public and private sectors, she has been serving as Minister of Tourism of Tlaxcala since 2021. She has stated that her tenure will mark a new era for tourism, aimed at enhancing competitiveness through innovation, promotion, and sustainable development policies for each destination.

"I am committed to dedicating my loyalty and creativity to advancing tourism for everyone, ensuring that indigenous peoples, artisans, and entire communities across the 32 states benefit from this noble industry.”

Marath Bolaños - Minister of Labor and Social Welfare

Bolaños holds a degree in International Relations from UNAM and has pursued Master's studies in Latin American Studies at UNAM. Throughout his career, he has served as professor at UNAM, legislator, and private secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Since 2023, he has been the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, succeeding Luisa María Alcalde. He stated that his 2024-2030 agenda aims to consolidate the 2019 reform, which introduced changes in outsourcing, minimum wage setting, and a new labor model.
