Sheinbaum Denies Excess Water Transfer to United States

President Sheinbaum denied that Mexico is sending more water to the United States than what is required under the 1944 Water Treaty. She stated that her administration is working closely with the governors of Tamaulipas, Coahuila, and Chihuahua to reach a coordinated agreement on how much water can be transferred without impacting Mexican producers.

The Mexican government has suspended fuel imports through the Texas border, according to a report by Bloomberg. For the past two weeks, the border crossing between Texas and Mexico has remained closed to trucks transporting gasoline, diesel, and other fuels, following the implementation of stricter cargo inspections by Mexican authorities.
