Bosch México has been honored with the National Automotive Industry Award in the Sustainability category for its water efficiency initiatives and contributions to the sustainable development of the Mexican automotive sector.

The award was presented by Francisco González, President, National Auto Parts Industry (INA), who noted that Bosch “represents the evolution of an industry that not only innovates but is genuinely committed to Mexico’s sustainable development and the future of mobility in North America.”

This recognition adds to more than 50 external awards Bosch received over the past year for excellence in employment practices, quality, service, and social responsibility. “Bosch has been a pioneer in implementing the dual education program in Mexico for 55 years,” said Alexander Firsching, President, Bosch México. “Developing talent is one of the pillars of sustainable growth and competitiveness.”

Bosch’s sustainability strategy integrates economic, social, and environmental dimensions. On the environmental front, the company operates 117 active programs, including 14 focused on water efficiency, enabling the reuse of over 11,000 cubic meters of water through rainwater collection, treatment, and reintegration into industrial processes.

Socially, the Robert Bosch Mexico Foundation leads initiatives in education infrastructure, scholarships, and volunteer programs. Currently, 40 projects benefit around 10,000 people and 80 educational institutions across the country.

Bosch is also a national leader in technical education through its dual training model, which combines classroom instruction with professional experience. The company runs five training centers — in Ciudad Juarez, San Luis Potosi, Celaya, Toluca, and Queretaro — in partnership with 33 universities. Since its inception, the program has trained more than 15,000 students, graduating an average of 500 participants each year.
