Ecovatio Opens 10MW Solar Park to Power Retail Sites
Mexican clean energy provider Ecovatio has inaugurated a 10-megawatt solar park in Aldama, Chihuahua, designed to supply renewable energy to more than 30 retail outlets. Developed specifically to meet the needs of the retail sector, the installation aims to reduce carbon emissions linked to conventional energy use. According to the company, the park offers stable, customized power delivery with enough capacity to support operations for a national grocery store chain.
Ecovatio officials described the project as a strategic milestone for retail sustainability, showcasing how companies can benefit from partnerships with clean energy providers. They positioned the initiative as a model for future commercial energy solutions that balance environmental responsibility with operational efficiency.
The company also highlighted the cost-saving potential of renewable energy adoption, particularly as regulatory and consumer expectations for energy efficiency continue to rise. With growing demand for environmentally responsible brands, they argued, retailers stand to gain a competitive edge by integrating renewable infrastructure into their business models.
Ecovatio noted that the project aligns with its broader mission to advance solar energy development in Mexico and support the country’s progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of affordable and clean energy.
