Mexico’s Public Education Ministry (SEP) is launching “Inspira y Aprende” (Inspire and Learn), a digital education strategy aimed at modernizing the country’s audiovisual learning ecosystem and expanding access to educational content through multiple platforms.

“Inspira y Aprende is more than a rebranding effort. It represents a vision that recognizes learning as an everyday, diverse and ongoing experience,” said Mario Delgado, Minister of Education, during the presentation of the initiative. “This strategy seeks to deliver educational content across multiple platforms and formats.”

The strategy signals a renewed approach to SEP’s digital outreach via @prende.mx, the agency responsible for educational media, and is aligned with the broader objectives of the Nueva Escuela Mexicana (NEM), the national education model promoted under President Claudia Sheinbaum’s administration. According to SEP, the initiative reflects a growing need to integrate digital tools, community engagement, and media content into the learning process, recognizing that knowledge is not limited to the classroom.

Inspira y Aprende is designed as an evolving project that integrates technological resources and encourages active participation from school communities, says SEP. It will leverage television, social media, and online platforms to deliver content designed to inspire and educate children, adolescents, teachers, and families. The audiovisual revamp includes new graphic elements, animations, and formats that communicate core values such as equity, inspiration, commitment, and transformation.

A key component of the strategy is the updated programming on Aprende+, a public broadcast channel accessible on 14.2 over-the-air television. New content includes original productions, documentaries, and series focused on culture, science, and civic education. The launch also incorporates training resources through SEP’s Centro de Formación (Training Center), which offers online courses aimed at educators and broader audiences.
