Info-Tech Research Group has released its 2024 Human Capital Management (HCM) Data Quadrant report, showcasing the top-performing software solutions in both enterprise and mid-market segments. The findings, derived from 2,649 end-user reviews on the SoftwareReviews platform, aim to guide organizations in optimizing talent management strategies through data-driven insights.

HCM software plays a critical role in streamlining HR operations by centralizing employee data and automating key tasks such as recruitment, payroll, and performance management. These systems also provide valuable insights into workforce engagement, enabling businesses to align their teams with organizational goals. “The right system can simplify day-to-day tasks, improve employee engagement, and ultimately drive growth,” says Ricardo de Oliveira, Advisory Director, Info-Tech Research Group.

The Data Quadrant report evaluates software based on metrics such as features, vendor capabilities, emotional footprint, and likelihood to recommend. These dimensions are combined into a Composite Score (CS), reflecting overall user satisfaction.

For the enterprise segment, Workday HCM, Dayforce, and UKG Pro emerged as Gold Medalists, excelling in employee records, payroll administration, and training quality, respectively. In the mid-market category, Rippling, BambooHR, and Humi led the rankings, praised for their payroll administration, feature quality, and employee record functionalities. Gusto and Zoho People also earned recognition for their ease of implementation and time-and-attendance features.

“It is not just about picking software that works right now but finding something that can grow and adapt as your workforce and business evolve,” says de Oliveira.

The 2024 report offers organizations a comprehensive view of the HCM landscape, drawing on the experiences of IT professionals throughout the software lifecycle.
