Mexico stands at a pivotal moment in its digital evolution. Across industries and institutions, technology is redefining how we operate, produce, and serve. Artificial intelligence, data-driven decision-making, and automation are no longer the future, they are the present forces shaping our competitiveness and resilience.

Yet, as the pace of innovation accelerates, one truth remains constant: technology alone is not enough. The sustainability of Mexico’s digital transformation depends on our ability to develop and protect talent, and to strengthen the ecosystem that makes digital progress possible in the country.

In today’s interconnected world, cybersecurity has become the backbone of every economy. It protects critical infrastructure, preserves trust, and ensures continuity in the face of growing digital complexity. As Mexico’s economy becomes more digitized, its resilience will increasingly depend on the people who design and defend these systems.

At Kyndryl, we see cybersecurity not just as a technical discipline, but as a strategic national capability, one that enables growth, innovation, and public trust. For this reason, we are honored to be part of the Public Center for Artificial Intelligence Training, a national initiative led by the government of Mexico launched on Nov. 6, with the aim of preparing the workforce for the next generation of digital challenges.

As part of this initiative, Kyndryl will lead the cybersecurity training track, training 1,000 participants across the country in foundational and applied cybersecurity skills. This 20-week intensive program, starting in January 2026, blends theory and practice to equip participants with hands-on experience in threat management, incident response, and other topics.

Cybersecurity is not a standalone function, it is a shared responsibility across sectors. Every financial institution, public agency, manufacturer, and service provider depends on secure systems and skilled professionals to sustain operations and customer confidence.

Developing this talent base is therefore critical. According to the Kyndryl Readiness Report 2025, 62% of organizations globally have not advanced their AI projects beyond the pilot stage, largely due to the lack of internal capabilities and digital skills. This insight applies across industries: the success of digital transformation depends as much on human readiness as on technological investment.

Mexico’s digital transformation cannot be achieved in isolation. Public institutions, private companies, and universities each bring unique strengths, but when we collaborate, we multiply our impact. The Public Center for Artificial Intelligence Training embodies this collaborative spirit. It represents an understanding that preparing for the digital future is not a task for one actor alone, but a shared national mission. Through initiatives like this, Mexico is laying the groundwork for a sustainable and inclusive digital economy; one that prioritizes skills, innovation, and trust.

For Kyndryl, participation in this initiative reflects our broader commitment to helping countries and organizations modernize securely and responsibly. We believe that strengthening cybersecurity capabilities at scale contributes directly to competitiveness, social mobility, and innovation.

In an era where data is the lifeblood of business and government alike, resilience is the new measure of strength. Cybersecurity and talent readiness form the dual pillars that will determine Mexico’s ability to thrive in the global digital economy.

Investing in these pillars means investing in people — in the engineers, developers, and problem-solvers who will safeguard the systems that sustain our society. It means ensuring that as Mexico continues to digitize, it does so with confidence and stability.

We are proud to play a part in this journey, helping to prepare a generation of professionals who will not only protect Mexico’s digital assets but also drive its growth and transformation.

Because the future of Mexico’s digital economy will not be defined only by the technologies we adopt, but by the people we empower to use them — securely, responsibly, and with vision.
