Strategic meetings were held between business and government leaders from Mexico and Brazil to enhance economic, technological, and innovation cooperation, creating synergies to boost regional competitiveness.

Mexico’s appeal as a destination for technology investment was highlighted by Farid Hannan Goyri, General Director of Global Economic Impulse, Secretariat of Foreign Affairs. He noted that Mexico accounts for 32% of all digital Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) project announcements in Latin America between 2005 and 2024. This is supported by the annual graduation of over 175,000 specialists in engineering, manufacturing, and construction, placing Mexico among the top 10 countries worldwide in STEM graduates.

The meetings, which included more than 40 companies from both countries, featured high-level authorities such as Brazilian Vice President Geraldo Alckmin, Raquel Serur, Undersecretary for Latin America and the Caribbean, and Alex Giacomelli, Director of Trade Promotion in Brazil.

Stefanini Group, a global technology consulting firm, actively participated. Antonio Paulo Azevedo, Country Manager, Stefanini Mexico, presented the company as a catalyst for digital transformation, combining global reach with deep local market knowledge to deliver agile, context-specific solutions.

A centerpiece of the discussions was “Plan Mexico,” a government strategy offering fiscal incentives to attract investment in high-tech sectors. Strategic industries identified include automotive, health, agriculture, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, and technology. International cooperation, particularly with Brazil, was highlighted as key to the plan’s success.

As part of this commitment, Stefanini Group announced a strategic investment of over US$100 million in AI across Latin America for 2025–2026, aimed at enhancing key production sectors through AI-driven solutions.
