Sheinbaum Proposes Federal Digital Transformation Agency

Claudia Sheinbaum, Mexico's president-elect, presented a plan to create a Digital Transformation Agency within the federal government. Announced during a recent meeting with the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), this initiative is scheduled to begin operations on Oct. 1. It aims to centralize and enhance digitization efforts across the government, streamlining procedures, reducing costs, and strengthening transparency.

Apple Faces EU Allegations Over App Store Policy Violations

The European Commission has notified Apple of its preliminary view that App Store rules violate the Digital Markets Act (DMA), initiating a non-compliance investigation related to Apple's new contractual requirements for third-party app developers and app stores.

"Under the DMA, developers distributing their apps via Apple's App Store should be able, free of charge, to inform their customers of alternative cheaper purchasing possibilities, steer them to those offers and allow them to make purchases," reads the Commission’s official statement.

Nvidia Shares Jump 7%, Reversing US$430 Billion Market Value Loss

On Tuesday, Nvidia shares experienced a 7% rise, reversing three consecutive days of losses that slashed its market value by approximately US$430 billion. The 13% decline in Nvidia shares from their Jun. 18 peak of US$135.58 followed a period of rapid gains, fueled by a 10-for-1 stock split implemented on Jun. 10.
