Tokyo based DMG MORI, an international manufacturer of high-precision machine tools, has officially begun construction on its new headquarters in Queretaro, Mexico, marking a significant investment aimed at advancing industrial innovation and workforce development in the country.  The facility, scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, will feature a state-of-the-art showroom, training areas, exhibition halls, and office spaces, all designed with a strong emphasis on sustainability.

“This investment reaffirms our commitment to the Mexican market and to the development of our team,” said Masahide Iino, President, DMG MORI Mexico. “We want to provide better service to our customers and partners while contributing to the technical education of local talent. Our vision is to strengthen the country’s industrial ecosystem.”

The new headquarters will incorporate advanced energy-efficient features, including intelligent lighting systems, rainwater harvesting, and solar panels. DMG MORI aims to obtain international certifications for sustainable construction as part of the project.

Company officials said the new site represents more than just physical expansion: it reflects a long-term commitment to boosting Mexico’s industrial competitiveness through continuous innovation, technical training, and environmental responsibility.

Once operational, the facility is expected to become a key center for supporting the professionalization and global integration of Mexico’s manufacturing sector. The facility will be located in the Bajío region, known as a growing hub for the automotive, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

The company is planning to celebrate its 50th anniversary at the EMO 2025, the world's leading trade fair for production technology held in Hanover, Germany, scheduled for Sept. 22-26, 2025. Under the banner, Manufacturing the Future, DMG MORI brings together people, technology, and industries. The company is planning to showcase how tomorrow’s manufacturing is already taking shape today. For instance, the company will present DMG MORI World in Hall 2: an immersive space featuring cutting-edge manufacturing solutions designed to enhance both quality of life and productivity across businesses of all sizes. The exhibit centers on three key themes: Technology, Machining Transformation (MX), and 5+X Industries, which collectively define the heart of DMG MORI’s presence at the trade fair.
