ACI World Recognizes 3 Mexican Airports in 2024 ASQ Awards
Airports Council International (ACI) World, in partnership with Amadeus, has announced the winners of the 2024 ASQ Airport Experience Awards. These esteemed awards, based solely on passenger feedback, honor airports that have shown exceptional commitment to providing outstanding customer experiences.
A record-breaking 181 ASQ Awards were distributed to 95 airports worldwide this year. The ASQ Awards are part of a comprehensive global assessment system, utilizing real-time traveler surveys from airports. This meticulous approach ensures that the awards accurately reflect the passenger experience, offering a reliable comparison across global airports.
Notable Winners by Region
In Latin America, Chihuahua International Airport, Mazatlán International Airport, and Monterrey International Airport were some of the standout winners. In North America, Gerald R. Ford International Airport and Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport also earned recognition for their exemplary customer satisfaction.
Asia-Pacific airports dominated the list, with Beijing Daxing International Airport, Singapore Changi Airport, and Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport earning top honors. In Europe, Milas-Bodrum Airport and Rome Fiumicino Airport stood out, while Salalah Airport in the Middle East and Blaise Diagne International Airport in Dakar, Africa, were also acknowledged.
“These awards reflect the ongoing commitment of airports worldwide that continually innovate to meet and exceed passenger expectations. The ASQ Awards celebrate those that create seamless and memorable experiences, contributing to the evolution of air travel,” stated Justin Erbacci, Director General, ACI World.
The Director General’s Roll of Excellence, a distinguished recognition for airports that have consistently delivered excellent customer service over the last decade, inducted 10 new airports in 2024, including Beijing Daxing International Airport, Copenhagen Airport, and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. "This recognition highlights the unwavering commitment of airports that consistently provide top-tier service year after year,” added Erbacci.
“The aviation industry is poised for significant transformation. By rethinking outdated processes, we can create more personalized and efficient journeys. Imagine a future where check-in is no longer required, and visa checks are completed digitally before flying—this would streamline operations and significantly enhance the passenger experience,” said Rudy Daniello, Executive Vice President of AirOps, Amadeus.
The 2024 ASQ Awards Ceremony will be held at the ACI World Airport Experience Summit in Guangzhou, China, from Sep. 8-11, 2025.
