Between January and October 2025, Mexico’s three main airport operators—Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR), and Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte (OMA)—collectively handled more than 109.7 million passengers, a 2.6% increase compared with the same period in 2024, according to company reports.

GAP, led by CEO Raúl Revuelta Musalem, reported handling 52.68 million passengers in the first ten months of the year, up 3.2% from 51.05 million in 2024. The company operates 12 airports in Mexico and two in Jamaica. In October alone, GAP transported 1.86 million passengers, a 5.2% decline from the 1.96 million recorded in October 2024. The company attributed the drop to the operational impact of Hurricane Melissa, which affected its Jamaican facilities at the end of the month.

“The hurricane disrupted operations at both Kingston and Montego Bay airports, but commercial flights resumed rapidly thanks to coordinated recovery efforts,” GAP said in a statement. Kingston International Airport reopened on Oct. 30 at 7:00 a.m. local time after completing runway and terminal inspections, while Montego Bay resumed commercial operations on Oct. 31 at 4:00 p.m., following the deployment of a technical maintenance team from Mexico.

As part of the recovery, GAP dispatched five cargo planes carrying more than 60 tons of materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to Jamaica to accelerate the restoration of airport infrastructure. The company reaffirmed its commitment to employee safety and to supporting Jamaica’s economic recovery, noting that “the speed of infrastructure and hotel restoration will be critical for the tourism sector’s reactivation.”

ASUR ranked second, transporting 33.44 million passengers, a 2.5% decrease compared with the 34.28 million recorded during the same period in 2024. OMA followed with 23.62 million passengers, reflecting a 9.2% increase from 21.62 million last year.
