In preparation for Holy Week and the summer travel seasons of 2025, Viva Aerobus has announced an increase in flight frequencies across seven destinations from Monterrey, Mexico. This expansion will add 37 weekly flights to the airline's current operations in Mexico and the United States.
Starting in April 2025, the following route changes will take effect: Denver will increase from 2 to 4 flights per week, Miami from 3 to 6 flights, Dallas from 7 to 14 flights, and Tuxtla Gutiérrez from 7 to 14 flights. Additionally, Houston will increase from 14 to 21 flights per week, León from 19 to 26 flights, and Mérida from 17 to 21 flights per week.
These changes respond to the growing demand for travel to various destinations, allowing passengers to plan their vacations in advance. Viva Aerobus indicates that travelers will benefit from flying on its fleet, which includes 86 Airbus A320 and A321neo aircraft.
This growth represents a 50% increase in flights to the seven targeted destinations, supporting local economic opportunities through tourism and business. This announcement follows a recent increase in flights from Monterrey to several cities, including Los Mochis, Morelia, and Chicago, scheduled to begin in November 2024.
