Volaris has inaugurated several new international routes from Monterrey, Mexico, to key US cities, further strengthening its regional presence. The airline now offers direct flights from Monterrey to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), Houston, Miami, and Denver.

On Mar. 30, Volaris launched its daily direct service between Monterrey and Dallas Fort Worth using an Airbus A320. In an official announcement, DFW Airport celebrated the new service with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Terminal D.

"This new route from Monterrey marks a pivotal moment in the relationship between DFW and Volaris. Since arriving in 2015 with three weekly flights to Guadalajara, Volaris has experienced tremendous growth. This summer, it will operate 34 weekly flights from DFW to five destinations in Mexico," said Milton de la Paz, Vice President of Airline Relations and Cargo Business Development, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

The new DFW route is a part of Volaris’ broader expansion strategy from Monterrey. The airline also launched services to Miami, Houston, and Denver, competing directly with rival Viva. These additions bring Volaris’ total number of international routes from Monterrey to eight, complementing the four recently inaugurated domestic flights.

“Today, we celebrate a special occasion. It is rare to witness the simultaneous launch of eight new routes. This demonstrates Volaris’ commitment to developing Monterrey as a hub for air connections,” said Abelardo Muñoz, Director of Aviation Development, OMA (the airport group managing Monterrey Airport).

The four new international routes from Monterrey include:

  • Miami (MIA): Four weekly flights

  • Houston (IAH): Daily flight

  • Denver (DEN): Three weekly flights

  • Dallas (DFW): Daily flight

"This expansion will have a significant impact on tourism, investment, and economic development in Nuevo León," said Jorge García, Director of Distribution and Market Development, Volaris.
