FEMSA reported a total revenue of MX$782 billion (US$37 billion) in 2024, marking an 11.2% year-over-year increase. In 2024, FEMSA was included for the first time in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and, for a second consecutive year, in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook. The company attributed this recognition to the integration of sustainability across its business model, organized around nine priority topics grouped under three strategic pillars: People, Community and Planet.
José Antonio Fernández, Chairman and CEO, FEMSA, describes the year as one of strategic, operational and cultural evolution, underscoring the firm’s commitment to transparency and long-term value creation.
The company reported that 65.3% of its electricity consumption came from renewable sources in 2024 — over 2,081 GWh used across more than 15,300 sites. FEMSA also diverted 76% of its waste from landfills, reflecting a 20% increase over five years. Moreover, Coca-Cola FEMSA reduced its water usage to 1.36 L per liter of beverage produced, meeting an interim target linked to a sustainability bond.
The FEMSA Foundation invested over US$17.5 million alongside partners in early childhood development, water security, circular economy, and cultural initiatives. The foundation intervened in over 185 public spaces across Latin America and invested a total of US$50.3 million in the Latin American Water Funds Partnership, benefiting 137,000 families and helping to conserve 565,000 ha
