Víctor Villalobos, Minister of Agriculture, emphasized the crucial role of scientific knowledge and technological innovation in advancing toward a more productive, sustainable, and inclusive agriculture. He noted that these advancements are essential to meet the food demands of Mexico's nearly 130 million residents.

The agriculture sector must adopt more efficient food production methods that prioritize water and soil conservation, stated Villalobos. He underscored the importance of addressing the sector's technical and scientific preparedness to face climate change challenges.

Luis Ángel Rodríguez, Director, National Institute of Forestry, Agricultural, and Livestock Research (INIFAP), highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts to address the sector's current needs. He emphasized the need for resilience and sustainability to boost crop production. Meanwhile, Alberto Flores, UAAAN Dean, described the collaborative effort of leading universities as unprecedented. He noted that these efforts align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and Mexico’s National Development Plans.

Ángel Garduño García, Dean, Universidad Autonoma Chapingo (UACh), highlighted the Expo’s role in fostering connections between major educational and research institutions to meet agriculture's pressing demands. He pointed out UACh's capacity to contribute to innovation and sustainability in agriculture with its extensive infrastructure and academic resources.

Antonio Villanueva Jiménez, Director General, Colegio de Postgraduados (Colpos), stressed the importance of linking research with education to enhance agricultural practices. He noted the institution’s focus on sustainable agricultural practices, carbon footprint reduction, and climate change adaptation through its programs and research initiatives.
