In a recent visit to Campeche, Claudia Sheinbaum unveiled a comprehensive plan to boost the economic and social development of the state. The Campeche Plan, a key component of the presidential candidate’s National Project, aims to enhance the agro-industrial production of the state and make the most of its natural resources.

Sheinbaum emphasized that a crucial aspect of the plan involves providing increased support to farmers in the region to bolster the production of agricultural goods. "The Campeche Plan entails expanding the cultivation of crops like rice, supporting both ejidatarios and farmers, as well as enhancing honey production, which is renowned here, along with livestock and other products," she outlined.

In addition to supporting the countryside, Sheinbaum announced major infrastructure projects such as boosting the Port of Seybaplaya and expanding roads with routes from Villahermosa to Macuspana to Escárcega and Villahermosa to Ciudad del Carmen to Macultepec to improve the state's connectivity. Moreover, she stressed the importance of addressing the challenges in the capital of the state as one of her priorities, particularly regarding efficient water management. "We will assist municipal authorities in improving the drinking water system to ensure access for all residents of Campeche," Sheinbaum stated.

Furthermore, the candidate highlighted plans to invest in improving public transportation and maintaining urban infrastructure in the southeastern Mexican city. Sheinbaum assured that there are ambitious plans for Campeche over the next six years. However, she stressed that to sustain the state's transformation, voting for MORENA is imperative. This isn't just about introducing new programs and projects but also about solidifying the progress made by the current government, such as the revitalization of PEMEX, she explained. "We remain committed to supporting the revitalization of PEMEX and its workforce, who have been overlooked for far too long," Sheinbaum said.

Jamile Moguel, Candidate for Mayor of Campeche, expressed her support for Sheinbaum and celebrated the progress of the 4T in the state. “Campeche has made its decision, and we will continue the legacy of the Fourth Transformation, opening up opportunities for all women who admire your example and years of struggle,” she said about Sheinbaum. Meanwhile, Pablo Gutiérrez, Candidate for Mayor of Ciudad del Carmen, urged trust in MORENA's initiative to transform Mexico. “We will continue making history; we are part of historic moments in our state and country,” he emphasized.

On a broader scale, Sheinbaum reaffirmed her commitment to food sovereignty as a cornerstone of her agricultural policy at the national level. She pledged to continue programs like Sowing Life and Production for Well-Being, along with ensuring fair prices and access to markets for small producers. Additionally, she promised to establish a program supporting agricultural laborers and their families to safeguard their social, labor, nutritional, health, and educational rights.

The candidate for the "Let's Keep Making History" movement emphasized the importance of local food production for staple items such as corn, beans, milk, rice, and wheat, and reiterated her commitment to the anti-GMO movement that characterized President López Obrador’s administration. Furthermore, she detailed a strategy targeting small producers in rural areas, which comprises five key guidelines: implementing irrigation technology, ensuring fair prices and market access, providing financial support for small and medium-sized producers in rural areas, promoting fishing and aquaculture, and advancing agroecology.
