General Motors de México confirmed that the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X will debut in Mexico in 2026,marking GM Mexico’s 90th anniversary. The high-performance hybrid sports car delivers 1,250 horsepower, all-wheel drive, and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under two seconds.

“Corvette continues to redefine the luxury sports car segment with the ZR1X,” said Paco Garza, President and CEO, GM Mexico. The model combines a rear V8 LT7 biturbo engine with 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque and a front electric motor producing 186 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque.

Jorge Plata, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Marketing at GM Mexico, highlighted the vehicle’s advanced features, including the new J59 brake system with 16.5-inch rotors and Alcon calipers—the largest, most thermally resistant brakes ever installed on a Corvette.

The ZR1X comes with two chassis configurations and Magnetic Ride Control for adaptive handling. Optional packages include the ZTK Performance Package with stiffer springs and Michelin Pilot Cup 2R tires, and the Carbon Aero Package, generating up to 1,200 pounds of downforce.

The coupe offers an electrochromic roof, a redesigned interior with three digital displays—including a 14-inch instrument cluster—and a Google-integrated infotainment system. Safety is enhanced with advanced stability and traction control, tire pressure monitoring, and a reinforced structure.

Built at GM’s Bowling Green Assembly Plant in Kentucky, the Corvette ZR1X will be available at 10 Chevrolet Performance stores across Mexico. Pricing and launch dates will be announced in the coming months.
