Honda Mexico closed 2025 with total sales of 40,416 vehicles, driven primarily by sport utility vehicles (SUVs), which accounted for 71% of the brand’s annual sales. December was one of the company’s strongest months, with 3,740 units sold, reflecting sustained demand for models such as the CR-V, HR-V and BR-V.

The Honda CR-V led sales for the year, with 1,375 units sold in December and 11,103 units delivered in 2025. “CR-V continues to be a preferred model in Mexico due to its technology, safety features, efficiency, comfort and connectivity for all passengers,” a company representative said. The HR-V followed with 842 units sold in December, bringing its annual total to 10,069 units, a 7.5% increase compared with 2024.

Honda’s BR-V compact SUV posted its best year since launch, selling 246 units in December and reaching 5,860 units in 2025, an 8.9% increase year over year. The Pilot mid-size SUV recorded 130 units sold in December and 1,674 units for the full year. Meanwhile, the Honda Odyssey minivan sold 113 units in December, bringing its annual total to 1,362 units.

Sedans also contributed to Honda Mexico’s performance. The Honda City sold 622 units in December, reaching 5,758 units for the year. The Honda Civic, supported by the introduction of a new hybrid version, sold 361 units in December and 3,834 units in 2025, representing a 20.9% increase compared with the previous year. The Honda Accord posted annual sales of 756 units, including 51 units sold in December.

The year-end results underscore Honda Mexico’s continued focus on the SUV segment, which dominates the company’s sales mix. Company officials noted that growth in specific models, particularly hybrid and compact SUVs, reflects shifting consumer preferences toward fuel-efficient and versatile vehicles, while sedans continue to make steady contributions to overall sales.

Mexico’s automotive industry closed 2025 with sales of 1.52 million light vehicles, the highest annual total since 2017, according to INEGI. This represents a 1.3% year-over-year increase from the 1.504 million units sold in 2024 and ranks as the sector’s third-strongest performance of the past decade.
