Prysmian, Andretti Extend Formula E Alliance
Prysmian Group, a global leader in the energy and telecommunications cable systems industry, has extended its partnership with Andretti Formula E.
Prysmian and Andretti have joined forces for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship 2023/2024, marking the second consecutive year of collaboration. The partnership involves a technological collaboration aimed at supporting Andretti Formula E's sustainable electrification initiatives.
Prysmian Group will provide solutions for energy transmission and information, playing a crucial role in the team's endeavors toward sustainable practices. Innovations such as the PRY-CAM, an advanced energy efficiency monitoring system, were utilized during the previous season, offering data on efficiency, consumption, and energy quality within the operations of the Andretti Formula E team.
Massimo Battaini, CEO, Prysmian Group, emphasized the importance of cable and fiber optic technologies as key enablers in the processes of energy transition, electrification, and digitalization. Particularly in the electric mobility industry, these technologies are essential for vehicles, charging infrastructure, and network integration. Established in 2011 for electric cars, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, attained the status of an FIA World Championship from the 2020-21 season.
