46% of Mexican Firms Embrace AI for Online Reputation
Nearly half of Mexican companies (46%) are already embracing artificial intelligence (AI) for online reputation management, revealed a recent study by Capterra.
The study, which surveyed 353 Mexican professionals, unveiled significant enhancements in data interpretation, research agility and expanded job capabilities. It also highlighted various benefits of implementing AI tools in this domain, ranging from increased customer satisfaction to process automation, and data analysis for deeper insights into consumer perceptions.
However, despite these advantages, companies encounter significant challenges in integrating AI into their online reputation management practices. Among these hurdles are the cost of technology integration, the absence of a defined strategy for AI utilization in public relations or marketing, and the necessity for employee training in AI usage.
A company's online reputation has emerged as a pivotal factor in consumer decision-making and brand perception. According to Status Labs, 94% of consumers indicate that positive online reviews about a company make them more inclined to acquire its products or services.
Bruno Peláez, Senior Content Analyst, Capterra Mexico, emphasized the critical role of effective AI utilization in online reputation management. According to Peláez, the adept deployment of this technology can bolster trust, loyalty and credibility with customers, while also attracting new consumers and driving sales.
"To maximize the impact of these investments, institutions must develop a clear strategy for integrating AI," reads the Industrial Technology Index report 2024. "Examples of successful strategies include: alignment of roles and responsibilities between engineers and executives when implementing AI, and training and skills enhancement programs to develop current staff competencies."
With 41% of companies planning to boost their investment in AI for online reputation management over the next two years, according to Capterra, this upward trajectory is expected to persist.
