Q: How would you describe AMD's current position in the Latin American market, especially considering its performance in 2024?
A: Currently we continue to be leaders in high-performance computing solutions, with significant growth over the past five years. We have made notable progress in several areas, especially in gaming, PCs and data centers. These achievements are supported by an innovative architecture that has enabled product diversification, positioning AMD at the center of the artificial intelligence megatrend.

Q: How has the perception of AMD changed in the region and what do you consider to be its main competitive advantages over other brands in the sector?
A: The company has evolved positively, standing out for its ability to adapt to a diverse market. In countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Argentina, we have been able to consolidate our presence through robust local coverage, dedicated teams and a superior technological offering. Proximity to customers and a deep understanding of local contexts, coupled with the AI-driven revolution in all sectors, have been key to our strategy.

Q: Which of your business lines best represents the company's current focus in the region?
A: AMD's most prominent growth in the region is in data centers, an area where we have again made strong inroads. This segment reflects our essence of innovation, disruptiveness and collaborative approach with customers. However, our capabilities in gaming, personal computing and devices adapted to various industries are also fundamental pillars of our offering.

Q: How have AMD's recent developments influenced the local technology industry and companies operating in the region?
A: They have had a profound impact on the region's technology industry, especially with our participation in more than 50% of the infrastructure of hyperscalers such as Microsoft, Amazon, Google and Oracle. Our Zen architecture, launched in 2017 and now in its fourth and fifth generation, has enabled significant improvements in performance, consolidation and energy efficiency. This has made it possible for our customers to optimize their operations, reduce the physical footprint required and, above all, achieve crucial energy savings. In addition, we have led advances in supercomputing, such as the recent achievement of positioning ourselves as the supplier of the world's most powerful supercomputer, which revolutionizes sectors such as scientific research and meteorology, positioning us as a competitive option compared to other players in the market.

Q: What is the main reason your customers are turning to you? What need are you helping them address?
A: Primarily, our customers are looking to integrate AI into their operations efficiently. We help them decide whether they should make a gradual or full transition and how to manage costs, data center space and security challenges. We offer solutions that optimize these resources without the need for costly investments, enabling more effective AI adoption.

The demand for AI solutions is huge, and products like the data center accelerators from our Radeon Instinct line have been very well received. Since their launch last year, revenue has grown significantly, exceeding US$5 billion this year. These products offer high performance, high bandwidth, and power efficiency, which is crucial for AI workloads. In addition, we work with customers to calculate not only the cost of acquisition, but also the total cost of ownership, considering maintenance, cooling, and power. This allows us to offer a competitive advantage in terms of performance with lower power consumption and physical footprint.

Q: What specific advantages do AMD Advantage systems offer to companies looking to optimize their productivity through high-performance equipment, whether in areas such as gaming, workstations, or data centers?
A: Our solutions are retro-compatible and provide significant performance leaps between product families. In the corporate environment, in addition to performance, we provide advanced security features, crucial for data protection in workstations and data centers. In gaming, our processors offer a fluid experience, essential in e-sports, where every millisecond counts. We have also developed solutions that enable 4K gaming and handle high-demand graphics, which is critical for triple-A video games that require significant computational power.

Q: What sustainability and social responsibility initiatives is AMD launching within its Latin American operations, and what additional efforts are you making to remain a leader in these areas?
A: One of the most important commitments is to achieve 30 times greater energy efficiency by 2025. In addition, we only work with manufacturers that have public sustainability goals. In our offices and data centers, we implement sustainable practices such as the use of solar energy, water harvesting for cooling, and building design that minimizes environmental impact. Regionally, we collaborate with customers and partners who also have sustainability policies, working together to minimize environmental impact.

Q: How are AMD's advancements helping to strengthen companies' technology security capabilities?
A: At AMD, we implement security from the silicon up, protecting equipment before it even boots. Our dedicated security chips, along with the technologies we develop, enable enterprises to protect against intrusions and attacks. In addition, our enterprise notebooks with local AI allow AI processes to be performed without connection to the cloud, ensuring the security of sensitive data without the risk of vulnerability in external environments.

Q: How is AI expected to impact Latin America and what emerging trends in this area will change the way companies approach digital transformation?
A: AI is one of the most disruptive technologies of the last decades. In Latin America, its adoption will grow rapidly thanks to its intuitive nature, facilitating its implementation even in SMEs. Intelligent assistants and personalized solutions, such as the automatic cancellation of subscriptions, show the potential of AI to improve the efficiency of users and businesses.

On the other hand, AI will become increasingly accessible, not only in large enterprises and data centers, but also in personal devices and everyday applications. The launch of PCs with high-performance AI capabilities at more affordable prices will further drive this trend. In addition, we will see customized AI solutions tailored to specific needs, paving the way for technological democratization that will allow everyone, from small businesses to individual developers, to take advantage of these tools.

Q: What are AMD's priorities in terms of expansion and development for Latin America by 2025, and which markets in the region have the greatest growth potential?
A: By 2025, we aim to continue our global expansion by strengthening our presence in key sectors such as data centers, cloud computing, and AI. In 2024, the company's data center segment has made significant progress, to the point where 1 in 3 servers worldwide is now powered by AMD technology. This represents a 94% increase compared to the previous year, driven by the strong adoption of EPYC processors and Instinct accelerators.

In Latin America, AMD is committed to accelerating digital transformation and expanding AI accessibility, focusing on strategic markets such as Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina. Mexico stands out by accounting for more than 20% of the regional market, supported by its rapidly growing infrastructure and increasing demand for high-performance computing solutions.

Q: What initiatives is AMD driving to strengthen its partner ecosystem in the region, especially in key sectors such as industrial and cloud, in the coming months?
A: We are strengthening our partner ecosystem in Latin America through the AMD Partner Hub, providing training, sales tools, and marketing resources to drive growth in key sectors such as industrial and cloud. Additionally, we collaborate with authorized distributors to ensure access to its cutting-edge solutions, enabling partners to effectively meet market demands.
