Walmart Expands Retail Media to Bodega Aurrera Express
Walmart Connect, the omnichannel retail media division of Walmex, has announced the expansion of its Retail Media Omnicanal offering to Bodega Aurrera Express stores. This initiative aims to enhance the reach of advertising campaigns, improving brand visibility and customer engagement throughout the shopping experience.
The new strategy, titled “Your Brand, Just Steps Away from Families in Mexico,” focuses on Bodega Aurrera Express, a convenience store format launched in 2015 that now has over 1,300 locations across Mexico. This format has become crucial for consumers, addressing their daily needs and serving as a strategic channel for brands to connect with customers effectively.
Walmart Connect is capitalizing on this proximity by offering targeted advertising solutions in more than 450 stores in key regions, including Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Jalisco, and Nuevo Leon. The advertising strategy includes placements such as shopping cart ads, header signs, and refrigerator decals, all designed to maximize the impact and effectiveness of campaigns.
