Spanish solar contractor GRS has secured a two-year extension for its operation and maintenance (O&M) contracts in Mexico, managing 110MWp of solar farms on behalf of Mexican asset manager Balam Fund. The renewed contracts for the Camargo, Energia Limpia de La Laguna, and Salsipuedes Solar photovoltaic plants will now run until December 2025.

GRS, a part of the vertically integrated solar engineering services specialist Grupo Gransolar, not only extended O&M contracts but also developed and built these solar farms for Balam Fund. The Camargo plant, with a capacity of 35MW, was the first of five projects constructed by GRS in Mexico. It was succeeded by the 35.48MW Energia Limpia de La Laguna and the 40MW Salsipuedes Solar.

The renewal strengthens GRS's presence in Mexico and expands its O&M portfolio to over 1,620MW of solar plants worldwide. Jesús Aguilar, Director of O&M, GRS, has welcomed the extension of this agreement. "We are experiencing a key period, favored by the exponential growth of plants built worldwide, coupled with the renewals of plants already operated from the beginning. This leads us to continue putting all our effort into providing added value and guarantees of success to our clients," he stated.
