The National Institute for Electricity and Clean Energies (INEEL) showcased its Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle during the LATAM Mobility and Net Zero Mexico 2025 forum, one of Latin America’s leading events on sustainable transport and clean technology. Held on Oct. 13–14, the forum gathered public and private-sector specialists to discuss new technologies, policies, financing mechanisms, and safety standards for electric mobility. The event was inaugurated by Rodolfo Osorio, Head of Electromobility, Ministry of Economy.

INEEL’s hydrogen-powered vehicle, developed in collaboration with Tecnología Solar de México, stood out as the only one of its kind at the event. The innovation drew significant attention from attendees, underscoring the institute’s growing role in developing advanced technologies and sustainable energy solutions. Representing INEEL were Félix Loyola, Daniel Fernández, Alejandro  Mani, and MC Juan Rafael Ramírez.

Loyola also participated in the panel “Relevance of Standards and Testing Protocols to Ensure Safety and Performance in the Electromobility Ecosystem,” where he highlighted the need for a national regulatory framework to ensure safety and performance in electric vehicles without hindering market growth. He also outlined INEEL’s ongoing work on lithium-ion battery testing under internationally accepted standards.

Through its participation in LATAM Mobility and Net Zero Mexico, INEEL strengthened its leadership in electric mobility research and fostered collaboration opportunities across Latin America’s clean transportation value chain.
