Some days ago, a friend and professional colleague posted a picture on social media of a torn piece of paper with an almost illegible text and asked: "If a doctor handed your elderly parents or grandparents a medical order like the one in the image, what would you think? Personally, I find it quite offensive and undignified."

He went on to say, "To me, the ’medical act’ (as a patient) must have several attributes beyond the purely diagnostic. It should be dignified and considerate of the patient’s overall condition, both physically and emotionally.
