Q: What are the main therapeutic benefits that MACDEL Technology’s ophthalmic laser devices offer?
A: We manufacture equipment that is therapeutic rather than diagnostic. We focus on therapeutic laser equipment, and we are the only company producing therapeutic laser devices. Unlike surgical lasers, our laser is non-invasive and is primarily designed to address pain.

Q: What opportunities have you identified in the Mexican market?
A: Our therapeutic laser treatment methods and devices offer treatments that are methodical, effective, and based on our established methods. Our aim is to share our technology, which contributes to human quality of life. Our devices correct post-surgical conditions and treat various degrees of myopia, amblyopia, nystagmus, strabismus, presbyopia, and hyperopia. The spectrum of conditions we address is quite broad, and our technology achieves good results, particularly in pediatric care, where it is completely safe.

Q: How do your devices enhance prevention, especially among children?
A: Several of our devices can function preventively. For example, the MAG 09, improves oxygenation in the eye and enhances muscle tone. This preventive function is similar to routines like facial care or general wellness practices. Beyond pediatrics, our technology also benefits individuals who use computers or mobile devices extensively, as it supports eye health. Additionally, post-operative recovery after ophthalmologic surgeries is faster using our equipment.

Q: What challenges or obstacles have you encountered in entering the Mexican market?
A: The primary challenge is certification. Our devices are Russian-certified, but obtaining certification in Mexico is a long and complex process. While it is possible, it is time-consuming and requires significant investment. Certification is particularly difficult for our devices because the technology is unique; there are no analogous devices worldwide. When a similar device exists, certification is easier. Therefore, entering Mexico will involve a lengthy and potentially complicated certification process.

Q: What is your long-term vision for the Mexican market? How would you like to see your presence grow?
A: We hope to establish partnerships with local collaborators who are willing to work with our devices. Our goal is to demonstrate positive results, patient satisfaction, and improved quality of life. We aim to find representatives who can introduce our technology effectively, particularly in pediatric care. Our devices can treat various conditions without requiring surgery, avoiding potential complications and deformities. Moreover, our technology has a broad therapeutic application, including treatment of sinusitis, otitis, and dermatologic conditions.

Q: How complex is it for medical professionals to learn to use your devices?
A: The learning curve for medical professionals is not steep. The devices are intuitive, and nurses can operate them under proper instruction from a doctor. Training typically takes about half an hour, as the devices are controlled via simple, easy-to-understand buttons. It is essential to follow the prescribed duration and settings as recommended by the physician.

MACDEL Technology develops and manufactures ophthalmic laser therapeutic devices. Its technology enables the effective treatment of myopia, the prevention and management of various eye diseases, and the elimination of postoperative complications.
