Governor of Morelos Margarita González met Jesús Esteva, Minister of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport, and Juan Carlos Fuentes, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of the Government of Mexico, to follow up on priority projects that will benefit communities and municipalities across the state.

One of the flagship initiatives is the “Tierra y Libertad” project, which in 2025 will include the construction of the Jojutla Bridge, improvements along the main circuit, and upgrades to secondary roads. The project represents an investment of more than MX$170 million (US$9.12 million), with over MX$50 million (US$2.68 million) from federal resources and MX$120 million (US$6.44 million) from the state government. These works aim to directly improve mobility for the people of Morelos, strengthening connections between communities and driving regional development.

The agenda also included progress on the planned access to the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos (UAEM), scheduled for 2026. This project will directly benefit the university community by enhancing connectivity and road safety.

In addition, the governor toured the site designated for the upcoming Cuernavaca Convention Center, which aims to boost business tourism and contribute to local economic growth.
