The State of Mexico, CICEM Boost Construction Quality

The State of Mexico’s Ministry of Urban Development and Infrastructure (SEDUI) and the College of Civil Engineers of the State of Mexico (CICEM) signed a collaboration agreement to train and certify construction professionals, aiming to improve the quality and safety of public and private works in the state.

Under the agreement, CICEM will participate in the training, updating, and certification of technical staff according to SEDUI guidelines set. The State of Mexico’s Minister of Urban Development Carlos Maza, stated that the partnership ensures projects are supervised by professionals with the necessary knowledge and ethics, highlighting the certification of Works Responsible Directors (DROs) as a key element for transparency.

Sandra Miranda, President, CICEM, affirmed the engineers' commitment to professionalism and responsibility, acknowledging the state government's trust in the organization to help elevate standards across the sector.
