Green Space E-Mobility launches a Green Cargo Route connecting Laredo, Texas, and Monterrey, with plans to extend service to Dallas. The project will operate through the Nuevo Leon–Laredo border crossing and leverage the La Gloria–Colombia highway.

“This initiative seeks to connect two of the most important economic hubs of Mexico and the United States–Monterrey and Dallas, consolidating the Nuevo Leon–Texas region as the best place to do business in the Americas,” says Marco González, Minister of Regional and Agricultural Development and Honorary Director, Nuevo Leon–Laredo Border Port.

The backbone of the corridor will be Windrose electric trucks, cutting-edge units designed for long-haul operations with ultra-fast charging, high performance, lower operating costs, and a significant reduction in emissions.

“We will start with the first five units this November. This is not only for the good of the planet, but also an economically favorable option for companies that choose this green freight model,” says Horacio de la Torre, General Manager, Green Space E-Mobility USA.

To support the project, the state government will collaborate in streamlining permits and strategically locating charging stations along the corridor. “We will be choosing key points that make energy supply easier for freight operators,” says González.

The initiative aims to enhance binational connectivity between Monterrey and Dallas through sustainable freight transport. “What we want is greater mobility between Monterrey and Dallas, and with Laredo as the epicenter, we are setting the stage for electric binational freight mobility,” says González.
