Former Railway Workers Staged Nationwide Blockades on Feb. 14
On Wednesday, Feb. 14, FERRO staged blockades in at least 20 locations across Mexico, including the Mayan Train, the Interoceanic Corridor (CIIT), and two commercial borders: the Zaragoza International Bridge in Chihuahua and the International Bridge III in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. The movement demands the fulfillment of the "Social Justice Project," designed to help railway workers affected by the privatization of Mexico's National Railways in 1995.

After reaching preliminary agreements, Rafael Ortiz, President, AMOTAC, said the organization would remain vigilant regarding full compliance.
