Canada-based silver miner Guanajuato Silver acquired heavy machinery for its El Cubo and Valenciana mine complexes in Guanajuato. The company considers that the equipment acquisition will result in improved production output at its mines.

Guanajuato Silver has received six new mining vehicles from China-based Tuoxing Heavy Machinery and has ordered three additional haulage trucks manufactured in central Mexico. "Investing heavily in our mining fleet is the most effective way to generate improved operating efficiencies and enhanced production. With these new state-of-the-art vehicle acquisitions, our operations will see enhanced fleet availability, which we expect to materially impact production output," said James Anderson, Chair and CEO, Guanajuato Silver.

The newly delivered equipment includes three TU-6 low-profile 6t underground mining trucks, which are being deployed to the Santa Cecilia mining area at El Cubo. Additionally, three new TC-100 diesel scooptrams have arrived, with two allocated to El Cubo and one to the Valenciana Mines Complex.

The company has also ordered three new Torino 20t haulage trucks, featuring Mercedes-Benz engines, which are dimensionally modified to operate underground under Guanajuato Silver’s specifications. These will be delivered monthly starting in October 2025, with two being deployed at Valenciana and one at El Cubo.
