Kingsmen Resources Starts Las Coloradas’ Drill Pad Construction
Kingsmen Resources reports that construction of drill pads commenced for an upcoming diamond drilling program at its Las Coloradas project, located in Chihuahua. The company said this will allow it to continue unlocking the project’s value.
The initial drill program is planned to consist of 14 holes, with all sites having been selected in the field. Drilling will target the Soledad and Soledad II structures, where previous surface sampling of residual mineralization in historic workings and the historic Las Coloradas underground mine indicated silver grades and locally anomalous gold values, reports Kingsmen Resources. Drilling is expected to begin between May and July 2025. The company stated that its field crew resumed activities.
Scott Emerson, President, Kingsmen Resources, said this development is a significant step for the company, as it will unlock the project’s value. The Las Coloradas Project covers 8.5km² and represents a consolidation of a historic mining district that includes numerous past silver-gold-lead-zinc-copper mines, previously operated by Grupo México’s ASARCO. The project is approximately 30km southeast of Hidalgo de Parral and 40km east of the San Francisco de Oro and Santa Barbara mining districts. Other mining projects, including Cordero and La Cigarra, are also in the district, the company reports.
