Silver Storm Hits 1,781g/t AgEq in Drilling at La Parrilla
Silver Storm Mining announced results from its Phase 2 diamond drilling program at the La Parrilla Silver mine complex in Durango. The drilling focused on the C460 Zone within the Quebradillas mine, with 10 holes drilled covering 1,406m. The company reported drills hitting 1,781g/t AgEq over 1.03m, which combined with historical results, give it the confidence for future mine development.
Silver Storm Mining highlighted several high-grade intercepts within the C460 Zone, up to 138m beyond the last mined levels. Notably, Hole Q-24-047 intersected 1,335g/t AgEq over 3.68m within a broader interval of 618g/t AgEq over 18.04m, approximately 20m down dip from the 1725 EL stope.
Other drill results include Hole Q-24-049, which returned 1,781g/t AgEq over 1.03m within a broader interval of 958g/t AgEq over 2.03m, and Hole Q-24-057, which intersected 696g/t AgEq over 2.02m within a broader interval of 396g/t AgEq over 5.52m.
When combined with historical drilling data from First Majestic Silver, the drill results are expected to impact the company’s future Mineral Resources positively. Findings indicate significant high-grade potential in the C460 Zone, particularly in previously unmined sections.
Greg McKenzie, President and CEO, Silver Storm Mining stated that the C460 Zone results demonstrate the high-grade potential of this area, underscoring its importance for a potential restart of operations. “Combined previously reported holes grading 1,810g/t Ag.Eq and 911g/t Ag.Eq, also beneath the 1767 EL stope, demonstrate the high-grade potential of this undeveloped 138m section of the southern C460 Zone. Our excellent follow-up high-grade drill results to date, which are in proximity to previous production stopes with high-grade historical channel samples, shows the potential for expansion of high-grade mining in C460,” he concluded.
