MLC, CIT Sinaloa Partner to Drive Economic Growth
Mazatlán Logistics Center (MLC), a flagship project by Grupo ARHE, has made a strategic agreement with the Center for Investment Trade (CIT) Sinaloa. The collaboration seeks to promote world-class logistics and industrial spaces, positioning the MLC as a central hub for attracting national and international investments to Sinaloa.
“What makes this project truly impactful is not just our investment, but the volume of additional investment that comes from our clients. This will significantly increase the economic impact of the initiative,” says Álvaro Gutiérrez, Director, Grupo Inmobiliario ARHE Desarrollos, according to Punto MX.
The agreement was formalized by Gutiérrez and Germán Rivera, Executive Director, CIT Sinaloa. This partnership emphasizes the shared commitment to promoting sustainable development and investment opportunities in the region, highlighting MLC’s logistics and industrial spaces, and particularly its Strategic Fiscal Warehouse (RFE).
Rivera says that CIT Sinaloa’s mission is to provide a strategic vision for sustainable growth. This vision leverages talent availability, industrial spaces like MLC, and an eco-friendly approach to energy and water management to make Sinaloa an attractive destination.
The MLC, also known as the Pacific Logistics Hub, spans 200ha. Its main objective is to connect Mexico to global markets by attracting both domestic and international investments. As the first phase of the MLC nears completion, with 65% of its urban infrastructure already in place and 85% of the park sold, the logistics hub is rapidly becoming a key player in the region’s economic landscape.
The first stage of the MLC is set to begin operations in March 2025 with the arrival of the first businesses, such as Paquetexpress’s distribution center. The second phase will add 60ha and 80 more lots, with plans already in place for a third phase. These expansions will enhance the area’s accessibility, featuring new roads, a bridge over the Mazatlan-Culiacan highway, and a sustainable drainage and water treatment system.
The first two stages of the project will involve an investment of about MX$800 million (US$39.2 million) and MX$500 million (US$24.5 million), respectively. However, the total investment is expected to reach MX$4 billion (US$196 million) once the industrial spaces are fully developed and operational.
The CIT Sinaloa is actively working to attract businesses to the MLC by promoting its industrial spaces and sustainability features. The MLC’s strategic location and state-of-the-art facilities are set to position Mazatlan as a critical node in international logistics, enhancing the state’s economic development, generating employment, and driving social wellbeing.
The center is set to become a major driver of growth for Sinaloa, providing a robust infrastructure for companies looking to expand and tap into the Pacific’s logistics potential. As the project advances, it will contribute to the region’s economic dynamism, creating jobs and fostering a competitive, sustainable business environment.
